The Chamber College for Educational Services (Malta) is a modern institution offering high quality English Language courses for adults as well as juniors. Our school focuses on a personal approach with students giving high importance to individual attention. Chamber College started operations on 14th February 2005 (that's right, on Valentine's day!) and since then it has grown into a professional institution offering quality English language courses to students of all ages and nationalities. To date, Chamber College has hosted students from: Austria, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Georgia, Holland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Libya, Luxembourg, Morocco, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and more.

General English Intensive (GEI)

GEI is designed to offer the student a solid, structured foundation in the English Language. The programme consists of 30 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days. A healthy nationality mix provides the right scene for quality interaction in class especially when students enjoy this environment for extended hours of tuition.

Our highly qualified and experienced teachers utilise a communicative approach to language learning giving importance to each of the essential language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Substantial attention is also given to vocabulary, grammar, conversation and pronunciation.

General English Semi Intensive (GESI)

Probably our most popular course, GESI is designed to improve student’s understanding of the English Language as well as the development of communication skills. The programme consists of 20 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days. Constant student interaction is complemented by a valuable nationality mix to provide the ideal setting to practice the language.

Our expert teachers offer professional support to students in their quest to develop their language skills. A communicative approach to language learning ensures that students practice all of the essential language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in a highly inspiring atmosphere.

General English Mini Intensive (GEMI)

The GEMI course is aimed at students who want to refresh their understanding of the English Language allowing more free time for excursions around the island! The programme consists of 15 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days.

The communicative approach to language learning allows students to interact with other individuals in their class, forming friendly relations while practicing the English Language.

One-to-one General English lessons

Individual tuition allows the student to focus on his/her main areas of interest as well as the language skills where major improvement is desired. Each lesson consists of 60 minutes and is available at any time during school hours.

Our experienced tutors offer precious advice to the student giving personal indications for improvement of Language skills.

BUSINESS ENGLISH

Business English Intensive (BEI)

BEI is designed for individuals who need to develop their Business English communication skills, enhancing the student’s interaction capabilities in an international business environment. The programme consists of 30 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days. Small groups of maximum 6 students per class ensure that Business English students receive maximum exposure in this specialised area of the language.

Highly qualified tutors utilise authentic materials to cover real life situations. Moreover students are encouraged to bring their own material to class, making the learning experience a truly meaningful one. Major business skills (such as managing telephone calls, participating in meetings, business presentations and negotiating) are practiced in a modern building equipped with the latest technologies.

Business English Semi Intensive (BESI)

The BESI course covers current business issues as well as basic business practices. Students have the opportunity to discuss current business phenomena effecting the world at large such as oil prices, the economy, taxes and more. The programme consists of 20 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days.

Students carry out business related exercises in groups of maximum 6 students per class, simulating real life business operations. Students are exposed to language work such as marketing collocations, financial terms, handling complaints and more.

One-to-one Business English lessons

Chamber College provides the student with the possibility of focusing on personal requirements in the area of Business English communication. Each lesson consists of 60 minutes and is available at any time during school hours.

The tutor provides a personal programme for the student based on the student’s own material. Private tuition allows the student to delve into the depths of Business issues with the guidance of an expert English speaker.

CHAMBER COLLEGE MALTA - EXAM PREPARATION

Exam Preparation Intensive

Preparing for an internationally recognised examination requires hard work and good tutors! At Chamber College you can find highly experienced teachers who can help you achieve the international certificate you desire. An exam preparation course usually consists of minimum 8 weeks tuition including 30 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days.

Our qualified academic staff can offer the ideal preparation course for students who wish to tackle the following courses: IELTS; University of Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE & CPE; TOEFL. Students cover all areas necessary for the examination and course work is also adapted according to the students learning styles.

Exam Preparation Semi Intensive

The Exam Preparation Semi Intensive course is a focused programme allowing students to prepare for internationally recognised examinations (IELTS; University of Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE & CPE; TOEFL) in a multi-cultural environment. This programme usually consists of minimum 8 weeks tuition including 20 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days.

One-to-one Exam preparation

Chamber College provides the student with the possibility of focusing on personal requirements in the preparation of an internationally recognized exam. Each lesson consists of 60 minutes and is available at any time during school hours.

The student has the opportunity of resolving specific areas of difficulty with the help of an experienced tutor. This option is usually booked in conjunction with a group preparation course in order to obtain a totally complete preparation for an exam.

ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAMMES

City & Guilds International Tourism (4867)

City & Guilds International represents, through development and marketing services, the expertise of Pitman Qualifications and City & Guilds working together to provide world class qualifications in over 100 countries.

The examinations offered by City & Guilds and Pitman Qualifications can be taken at some 4,500 approved centres worldwide. They provide a mixture of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. At the appropriate level they are aimed at young people in various stages of education, employees who want to improve or update their skills and adults returning to work who need to re-train.

Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries and one of the fastest growing employment sectors. Our International Vocational Qualification in tourism prepares individuals with the skills and knowledge to work in the tourism industry.

The qualification is designed to encourage candidates to look at the international tourism market, as well as investigating their local facilities to consider the possibility of development for tourism purposes.

City & Guilds offers International Tourism on three distinct levels:

First Year- Certificate

A broad introduction to the tourism industry, which is suitable for candidates from all backgrounds.

Second Year- Diploma

Higher understanding of the industry involving a wider range of skills appropriate to candidates aiming for a supervisory role, or going on to higher education.

Third Year- Advanced Diploma

This level develops skills learned at Certificate and Diploma stage to the level appropriate for first-level management. It is also relevant to individuals who require tourism training at a higher level.

CHAMBER COLLEGE MALTA - COURSES FOR JUNIORS (12 - 18YRS)

Junior Holiday Package (All-Inclusive)

An entertaining educational programme for students aged 12 - 18 years. This package offers a memorable experience in Malta where students learn English in a healthy multi-cultural environment and participate in exciting events!

Tuition programme consists of 20 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week spread over 5 school days. Classes of maximum 15 students are held in a comfortable environment offering the latest technologies and a first-class customer care service. Young students of different nationalities have the opportunity to practice English in a fun environment while also enjoying the thrill of Maltese attractions.

The all-inclusive package includes 20 group lessons per week, an attractive leisure programme (including group leader supervision & home return transport), accommodation in host family shared room on full board basis (breakfast + packed lunch + dinner) and airport transfers on arrival & departure.

Complementary accommodation for 1 accompanying adult (on same basis as students) is granted to groups of minimum 10 students travelling together.

SCHOOL GROUP PACKAGE

Mix and match the tuition and activities desired by your group of students to create the perfect stay in Malta! Chamber College offers the opportunity to select between courses of varying duration, a large choice of excursions & activities and of course the accommodation that is right for your group.

This package is offered in low season and is aimed at school groups, members of clubs and other organizations who wish to travel together for a week or two. A typical 1 week package in low season could cost in the region of 150 per person including accommodation on half board basis (breakfast + dinner), airport transfers and tuition (this price may vary according to period of arrival and other services booked).

Course programme consists of 15, 20 or 30 lessons (each of 45 minutes duration) per week in classes of maximum 15 students. First-rate customer care support and personal attention will ensure an experience of a life-time in this little island of surprises!

Complementary accommodation for 1 accompanying adult (on same basis as students) is granted to groups of minimum 10 students travelling together.

CHAMBER COLLEGE MALTA – ACCOMMODATION

Host Family

Chamber College offers you the possibility of enjoying the welcoming environment of an English speaking Maltese host family. The host family becomes your home in Malta, a friendly and comfortable environment where you can practice your English and make friends!

Host families are carefully selected according to house environment, distance from school and type of room setup. You can ask for shared room accommodation (2/3 persons per room) where you can socialise with other English language students or single room accommodation if you prefer to have more privacy. Breakfast and dinner time give you an excellent opportunity to learn about Malta’s typical dishes while practicing English with your host family.

Residence

The Residence is a popular accommodation option for young adults (aged 18 years +). Students searching for a multi-cultural environment and added freedom in their accommodation can ask for Residence accommodation in shared rooms (2 - 4 persons per room) or single room (not available in high season). The residence allows students to choose Bed & breakfast basis, half board or full board treatment.

This centrally located accommodation allows students to mix with people from a wide variety of nationalities and is also close to the city centre. At only 25 minutes travel distance from the school (15 minute bus ride + 10 minute walk), the residence is conveniently located next to the seaside, shopping area, bars, restaurants and is also well connected by public transport.

Self-Catering Apartments

This economical option also offers a great experience to individuals who search for a friendly environment with students from other nationalities and added freedom in their accommodation. Students have the opportunity to socialise with people from a variety of countries, cook together, organise parties together and of course practice English together!

Self catering apartments are located at 5 - 10 minutes walking distance from the school and are equipped with the necessary facilities for a comfortable language stay of any duration; the price of this accommodation makes self catering apartments the ideal solution for long term students.

Hotels

A variety of 5*, 4* and 3* Hotels can be booked for added comfort and privacy according to the students preferences. Whether you desire a luxury suite or an economical room, our accommodations dept. will search for the ideal hotel to satisfy your needs.

The suggested Hotels can be located at 15 minutes walking distance from the school or closer to the city centre depending on your request. All hotels are well connected to the public transport network and also offer added benefits such as use of swimming pool, gym, restaurants and bars (please ask us for more details). Of course, you may choose between bed & breakfast basis, half board or full board treatment.
