General English: This course provides effective training for students who need English for work, study or travel. Experienced teachers use a course book and supplementary material to help students produce and practice the four language skills. The aim of this course is to help them to communicate, and emphasis is placed on encouraging fluency and confidence in the English language.
Intensive English: Students join the Standard Course in General English which allows them to practice all language skills. The Intensive Course offers additional lessons which are devoted to speaking, where students wishing to focus on improving their oral fluency can discuss and debate a wide range of topics. The aim of this course is to help students to communicate, and emphasis is placed on encouraging their fluency and confidence in the English language.
Mini Group 20 General English: Smaller classes ensure more student teacher interaction and will help to improve use of English as quickly as possible. Experienced teachers plan lessons to include a combination of speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, vocabulary building, writing and grammar. The aim of this course is to provide practice in using language and grammar in a wide range of situations, developing the skills and vocabulary that help students to become more effective speakers.
Mini Group 20 General English: An intensive course in General English for smaller groups ensuring maximum participation and interaction in class. Lessons include a mixture of speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, vocabulary building, writing and grammar. Students also join fluency lessons that are designed to develop practical communication skills leading to greater fluency in everyday English.
One to One Lessons (General English - Person to Person): This is an intensive course which is 100% focused on individual English language requirements and designed to match specific needs. This is the most flexible and personal course available that will quickly help students achieve greater fluency and accuracy in the English language.
Two to One Lessons (General English - One Teacher To Two Students): An intensive course focusing on the English language requirements of two participants travelling together. Students are given personal attention and the lessons are designed to match their specific needs.
Academic Year Programme: Our Academic Year Programme is for students who study at eie Languages centre for 24 weeks or more. The Academic Term / Exam Preparation Course at eie Languages centre is structured similar to the General English or Intensive English Course, however the goals and objectives are structured for long term study.
This programme is intended for participants who want to significantly improve their level of English to work abroad, study at an English-Speaking University or to pursue a career which requires proficiency in English. The programmes include weekly tutorials with one of the course co-ordinators to help learners improve their use of English.
Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a more in-depth and continuous study of the language and also for those interested in sitting for any of the major language exams, such as the PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, DELE, DELF, DALF, CILS and DSH. The examination fees are not included in the course price and students have to pay extra for materials.
Business English & Specialised Courses (One to One Lessons): This course is aimed at individuals who need to improve their Business English skills. Topics covered include Business English expressions and participants can practise giving presentations, writing business correspondence, negotiating and telephone skills, and preparation of business plans. General fluency lessons help participants develop practical communication skills. A training programme that is: completely tailor-made/personalised for participants’ precise level if English designed to cover all professional requirement and areas of specialisation with the flexibility of selecting the exact number of hours of study required Specialist areas will be catered for as required, for example:

Course content; Courses look at not only language structure but also the language required for successful operation in many business or professional situations. These typically include speaking at meetings, giving effective presentations, making telephone calls, writing reports, Business English for social occasions, etc.
Many companies incorporate eie courses into their management training programmes. Some clients, for example, go directly to give a presentation in English after studying with us – we can help you ‘perfect’ your presentation before you have to present it.
Courses are ‘tailor-made’, using a Needs Analysis, (which students should complete in advance of arrival and return to us so we can design the course), and by finalising/agreeing the course content at the start the first morning. We understand the importance of taking full advantage of every minute!
We offer all participants an optional exclusive social programme with frequent lunch and evening events accompanied by eie Languages centre staff. Students are presented with an Individual Linguistic Profile and eie Languages Centre Certificate at the end of the course.
Cambridge Examinations: An examination preparation course for Cambridge FCE or CAE of 20 or 30 lessons/22.5 hours per week in groups or one-to-one. Cambridge CPE is also available in one-to-one classes. You can do an 8 or a 12 week course. Students must have the appropriate level (a good Intermediate level) to join the course – we can send you a ‘test’ examination in advance if you wish. Students may take the examination in Malta at the end of the course or you can choose to do it when you are back home in your own country.

IELTS intensive preparation course: IELTS is becoming more and more necessary for students who wish to study in a UK university. This course can be done at any time of year, usually as a supplement to another course. There are no specific dates for the examinations so we can arrange for you to do it during your stay. You will learn about the expectations of the examination and practice how to pass.
TEACHER TRAINING: We offer courses for teachers of English who are non-native speakers. The focus of these courses is to provide English teachers with the latest methods in language teaching at the same time as ‘brushing up’ on the language skills. The course take place on specific dates (see our Dates & Fees) but we can also offer a course at any time of year for groups. The most common courses are:
TAILOR-MADE COURSES: We would be happy to produce a quotation and design a course specification for any courses that are not listed here. These are usually for closed groups, but could also be for individuals, and can be at any time of year. The course content can be with specific language focus, can include an activity/excursion programme if you wish and can be for any number of days. Please contact us if you have any requests.

 eie Internships is a specialised agency providing work-placements and internship opportunities to individuals from all over the world. All internships can be preceded by intensive English language courses offered by eie Languages Centre, our sister company language school.
You can choose an internship that fits your interests, and future career path. We recommend you to choose your desired working field and we will place you in an internship that gives you the opportunity to gain international exposure & working experience, whilst interacting with Maltese and foreign staff. You will also be able to practice and speak English with your colleagues.

Work Placements
 eie offers work-placements in various fields and economic sectors. The programme will include 20 to 40 hours of work-experience per week. Once a student is accepted to undertake a work placement at eie or at one of our clients, a letter of acceptance is issued. This will indicate the date of commencement of the work-placement. Students are encouraged to make their own travel arrangements and to communicate these with eie. They will be met at the airport by one of eie’s representatives. Transfers to and from the airport are provided free of charge.
Mobility for EU nationals - eie develops European projects mainly dealing with the Education and Mobility projects. EU nationals can benefit from funds through the European Union’s Leonardo da Vinci (LdV) programme as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-2013 (LLP) / Within the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) for incoming projects and students, eie offers:

eie Languages Centre offers a wide selection of accommodation facilities – from student residences, to shared apartments, from host-families to hotels.
Homestay Accommodation: Living with a Maltese family gives you the opportunity to experience the Maltese culture and way of life; it also offers our students better opportunities to speak in English outside the school. Host family accommodation consists of shared accommodation (maximum 3 in one room) and is inclusive of breakfast and an evening meal. A packed lunch (full board) can be booked at an extra cost.

All our host families are carefully selected and licensed by MTA (Malta Tourism Authority). www.mta.com.mt. eie Languages Centre’s host families are centrally located and within walking distance of the school (10 to 25 minutes walk or a 5 to 15 minute bus ride). All our families are English speaking and offer a friendly atmosphere in their homes.
eie Languages Centre takes good care when selecting host families. We request that the family has a good standard of spoken English and that their home is adequate for hosting students and kept clean. A fan during the hot months and a heater in the cold months will be provided and both bed linen and towels are changed once a week. The host family does help out with the laundry, though this is to be discussed with the family.

Breakfast consists of coffee / tea, cereal with milk or toast with butter or jam. The packed lunch is optional and is made up of two sandwiches, mineral water and fruit while dinner is a three-course meal inclusive of dessert and mineral water. Dinner is served at around 6 - 8pm so that students are free to go out in the evening, either alone or to an activity organised by the school.
Apartments Accommodation: Typical apartments offered by eie Languages Centre are self-catering and sharing. They include 2 bedrooms with 2 single-beds each, shower/toilet, kitchen/dining area, sitting-room with television, automatic washing machine; internet is available on request.

Apartments are cleaned, bed-linen/towels changed – once a week.

Apartments can be turned into 2 bedroom flats with 1 bed in each, at an extra cost.

Residences are 10 to 25 minutes away from the Language School.

One Bedroom Apartments: Travelling with friends or just want privacy? The One Bedroom Apartment is a good option for you. Apartments are self-catering and are conveniently (10 to 25 minutes walk or a 5 to 25 minute bus ride) from school. Apartments are cheaper than hotels and have way more character.

Having your own apartment provides a do-what-you-like base on during your stay. One Bedroom Apartments are furnished to a good level and have everything you'll need for a comfortable experience. Rooms sleep a maximum of two people and are self-catering. Hotels Accommodation: We can offer extremely good packages from a number of 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star hotels in Malta.
